A Router Is Your Best Choice For A firewall To protect your network

I cannot count how many computers we have tried to repair and the system was so slow because of the software firewall that was installed on it. Many of the high-end anti-virus programs run a very annoying software firewall that uses plenty of computer resources and often blocks common actions like going to a web page! The truth is if you have a router installed on your network, you do not need a software firewall.

Open DNS Can Keep Your System Secure

Hi everybody in this issue we are going to talk about the importance of your DNS numbers and what it all has to do with security. I am sure most of you have heard the term DNS used on many occasions but you may not know exactly what these numbers do. As you may recall, the Internet was almost supposed to come to a halt on July 9th because of the DNS changer virus but that scare never became a reality.  Most of us took the precautions that were necessary to ensure that this problem did not happen so the effects were minimal.

Differences Between a Hardware and Software Firewall.

Hi everybody, today we are going to discuss the difference between a hardware and software firewall.. All of us are quite versed that we need an anti virus program to protect our computers but did you know that you also need a firewall to protect yourself from hackers? A firewall has a totally different purpose then you’re anti virus program. You’re anti virus program helps protect your system from bad programs installing them selves on your system and your firewall helps protect you from hackers taking over your computer. They both have totally different purposes.
