Which Browser Works Best with Windows?

Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari. There are a lot of web browsers available, and many people wonder which one is really best for their computer. The answer for that, of course, depends on the kind of computer you own. If you have a PC though and are running a Window’s operating system, then you have several options to choose from.

The most common, of course, are Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome. To make the best choice in web browsers, you will first need to know a little bit about each one. They each have positive and negative points, and it will be necessary to familiarize yourself with them first in order to make an informed decision. Following is an explanation of what each browser does and if it is compatible with your computer or not.

  • Google Chrome: The most popular web browser today, Chrome has several options available for its users. For example, the address bar also works like a giant search bar, so all you have to do is type your search item into it, and it will take you to Google.

Chrome is best with high speed internet, however, because of the different components available. These components work well if the internet connection is fast. If it is slow, it does little more than slow your computer down, by requiring more things to load on each page. It is also slightly difficult to navigate, since part of the goal was to reduce clutter as much as possible by hiding certain components. Chrome is compatible with all window’s operating systems as well as Mac operating systems.

  • Mozilla Firefox: The main attraction to Firefox is its speed, and simplicity. Designed quite similarly to Internet Explorer, Firefox is easy to navigate, for those who are making the switch for the first time, but a much faster option than Internet Explorer. It also has a reputation for better virus blocking capabilities, making your computer less likely to contract a deadly disease. Firefox is compatible on all operating systems, making it a good choice.

  • Internet Explorer: Internet Explorer comes standard on all Windows computers. It is one of the oldest web browsers, but also the one with the worst reputation. It does not do well blocking pop up sites or viruses and often times allows sites to download cookies onto your computer as well.

  • Safari: The guru of web browsers, Safari is clean, fast, and simple to use. The only real downside to it is that it is only compatible with Macs. If you don’t own something Apple, then there’s not much hope of acquiring this particular browser.

As you can see, there are several options available to those wishing to pick their own browser. Some are better than others for different reasons. However, the main thing to keep in mind is what you want it for and what your computer is capable of handling.
